Gas Prices Could Be Much, Much Worse!
We haven't had very much inflation... yet.
| Gas prices are high! |

|
| (But you ain't seen nothing yet.) |
We're mad because gas prices were 90 cents ten years ago, and now we're paying $3.00 and more.

|
| Imagine paying a million bucks for a tank of gas. |
Germany issued quite a few million-mark notes during wartime. People were burning bundles of cash because they weren't as
valuable as firewood.

|
| Now try to imagine TEN BILLION bucks for a tank. |
Yugoslavia had its hyperinflation period in 1988-94.

|
| Five Hundred Billion ??!!? |

|
| The biggest ever: 100 quintillion Hungarian pengos. |
Hungary's inflation rate in 1945-46 became so high that prices were doubling on average each 15 hours.
The largest denomination issued was a 100-quintillion pengo note. (A one-sextillion note was printed but never issued.)
We
don't like high prices. But the price increases we are seeing today are not nearly as bad as it can get.
